On the occasion of VARIOUS OTHERS, GALERIE CHRISTINE MAYER presents a joint exhibition by Thomas von Poschinger (b. 1981) and Henning Strassburger (b. 1983) in cooperation with CONTEMPORARY FINE ARTS, Berlin.

Thomas von Poschinger’s paintings and photographic works expose the mechanisms of our media-saturated present. They illustrate the openly hidden gap between participation and isolation and raise the question as to what remains of the social sphere today. The paintings of Henning Strassburger focus on the fears and longings of an entire generation in which illusion is more credible than any kind of authenticity.
