Kunstverein München

Kunstverein München was founded in 1823 and is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in Germany. Located in the Hofgarten, it is both a fixture of the local art scene and an internationally recognized discursive platform for contemporary art.

This September, the Kunstverein München presents the exhibition Not Working – Artistic production and matters of class, which brings together international artists who examine the mutual conditionality of artistic production and social class in their work. The project is framed by a comprehensive accompanying program as well as a publication, thereby creating a discursive and interdisciplinary platform that questions, exposes, and uncovers the insufficient reflection on the many facets of established social structures. Curated by Maurin Dietrich and Gloria Hasnay.
